About Judie

“But what can a decent man speak of with most pleasure?
Answer: Of himself.
Well, so I will talk about myself.”
Notes From The Underground (Fyodor Dostoyevksy)

I am a simple person. I always aim to make a difference but I never ever dream of grandstanding nor world domination. In a day, I work for eight hours, sleep for six, and try to make the most out of the remaining ten hours. My simple vices are reading, eating, watching TV and DVDs, traveling when budget permits, more reading, engaging in silly to serious conversations, and listening to music. I can live forever just by doing them. I am not a fan of extreme challenges and dangerous exploits.

Books are my greatest passion. I enjoy reading every genre though my moods certainly dictate what I read during certain moments. I DO NOT like hardbound books, not only because they are more expensive, but because they are heavy. Trade paperbacks are best for me.  I also don’t dig deckle-edge pages.  I have no particular favorite author as I read books on any genre.

I love riding trains and the feeling of being inside a plane when it takes off.

I will never get tired of eating chicken dishes, chocolates, french fries, and sweet beans.

I’m drawn to interesting people.  Lawyers, too.

I have a lot of acquaintances but maintain only a few trusted friends in my circle. I do not trust people easily but I believe in the natural goodness of people.

I love blabbing about my life, no matter how incoherent my thoughts are, but I’m still a true-blue introvert.

My celebrity guilty pleasure is Jennifer Aniston. Seriously.

I daydream a lot.

I name my things.

I love love.

That’s all.

  1. Hi Judie,

Firstly, I think you’re writing skills are excellent.. funny and catchy. I like your blogs.. Well done.

Secondly, I have quite selfish reasons to comment. I came accross your blog re: Mar Roxas. Actually, I was “googling” an old friend of mine who I’ve been trying to find for a few years now. Rayan Marty. I was hoping that there was some way you could let him know that I’m trying to reach him? I’m currently in Melbourne Australia and please, please, please let me know if/when you get this? Either way, I’d understand if this is not possible.. I would really appreciate it. You can reach me on net_campos2001@yahoo.com

Thanks so much and I really hope you can help me. 🙂

  2. I came here by accident looking for the definition of Mahoma (He is Mohammad born in year 650 founder of Islam) and Kopong-kopong (it means year 1900, kopong is zero, kopong-kopong is zero zero). Nice job you’ve got. It must have paid you so well. If you ain’t busy send me a mail at renecaparas@yahoo.com or visit my site at renecaparas.multiply and leave a note. I am a writer.

    This line hits me:
“I am a simple person. I try to make a difference but I never ever dream of grandstanding or world domination. In a day, I work for 8 hours, sleep for 6, and try to make the most of the remaining 10 hours. My simple vices are reading…”

I am a confused person trying to be simple but my genius prohibits me—I am a photoghrapher, a musician, a “second-rate trying hard copy-cat”. I work for 10 hours in Gloria Macapagal government and sleep for 8 hours and snatch the meaning of Christianity in between the remaining hours. My most luxurious vice is reading (with apologies to your line).

    Hope to hear from you.

  7. Hi Judie, I like your blog – especially the pics. I get a real sense from them that you’re a warm and fun-loving person. As you’ve been blogging for quite a while now, I’d welcome any advice comments you can give me. I’ve just started writing about being middle-aged. I’m afraid I’m staring 50 down the barrel of a gun although, hopefully I don’t look quite that old! Anyway, I enjoyed your blog and will dip into it again. Meanwhile, if you get a chance check out mine and feel free to post a comment. It’s at http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/howay-five-0
