All Hallows Eve Reading Challenge 2012

‘Tis the season to celebrate books about things that go bump in the night!  I am happy to participate in All Hallows Eve, hosted over at Book Chick City, which will run from October 1 to 31, 2012.

Click the image above or go here to know more about this reading event.  This is not only a cyber reading event but a month-long venue for author guest posts, reviews, and what they call “fangtastic’ bookish giveaways.

For this month, I plan to read the following books:

  1. Man on the Ceiling – Steve Rasnic Tem and Melanie Tem [creatures of interest: demon, ghost]
  2. Poe’s Children – short stories edited by Peter Straub [creature of interest: smorgasbord!]
  3. The Dark and Hollow Places – Carrie Ryan [creature of interest: zombie]
  4. The Fall – Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan [creature of interest: vampire]
  5. Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble – H.P. Mallory [creatures of interest: vampire, werewolf, witch/wizard]

That’s the plan, at least. 🙂  You know me, I could easily veer away from the list.  Here’s to sticking to them though, if only to help my attention-deficit disorder.  Hahaha!

Do you intend to read blood-curdling, gore-filled, scary, spooky, freaky books this month?
