It’s about time I read the last book in the Harry Potter series. The first part of its film adaptation will be shown all over the world in 3 weeks. As if it’s something I still need to announce! 🙂
I am not a big Harry Potter fan but I enjoyed reading all books of his adventures in Hogwarts for six years. I don’t even own any book in the series. I remember borrowing books 1 (Sorcerer’s Stone) and 2 (Chamber of Secrets) from my college bestfriend and fellow booklover Bam, and book 3 (Prisoner of Azkaban – which is my favorite of them all, even if I haven’t read the 7th!) from my friend Sarah. Sometime ago, I re-read books 1 thru 6, graciously lent to me by my officemate Sheila. A big HP fan, she selflessly lent me her hardcover copy of HP and the Deathly Hallows right after I finished book six (Half-Blood Prince).
It’s been two years and I still haven’t read it.
When I was cleaning my book closet after this year’s international book fair, I found Deathly Hallows, and out of shame, I asked Sheila if she would mind if I cover it with plastic. That’s the best I could do for letting it stay with me for that long.
Anyway, I intend to gobble it up before the movie opens soon. You know me, I willingly get swayed by hype so I’m not really gonna let this one pass, hahaha! 🙂
