kinda Sophie-ssed off

Sophie Minnie (my iPod Mini…okay, sue me) lost all her contents last Thursday. I was charging her when I noticed that the playlists were empty. Poof!

I don’t have a backup of her contents. So that’s almost 2,000 songs gone just like that. I’m not fretting over all of them because I only have less than 500 songs that I would like to listen to over and over. Nonetheless, all of them are gone. *semi-sigh*

Maybe I’m not that affected because all of Sophie’s contens are also in Rachel’s iPod. And more, actually, as hers has a capacity of 80GB, something that drowned me just by thinking about it.

If Sophie’s problem persists, I may consider replacing her. She provided almost two years of pleasure and that is probably enough. Plus I got her from another user after six months of constant use (to this day, I believe Sophie is intended to be given to a special someone, he just didn’t get the chance, or guts, to do so). Anyway, Sophie and I have been through thousands of rides to and from various destinations, and she has been an awesome companion through all forms of my grieving (with Dad, Justin, and several people and events that would remain unnamed).

I have yet to finish downloading (ahem) the music I started to miss so for now, it’s “goodbye but I’ll have you again” Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, Panic at the Disco, Gavin de Graw, Jason Mraz, Amy Winehouse, Rufus Wainwright, Corinne Bailey Rae, James Morrison, Keane, Damien Rice, Elliott Yamin, Michael Bublé, Kendall Payne, KT Tunstall, Fall Out Boy, Snow Patrol, Joni Mitchell, Rachael Yamagata, and the OSTs of Rent, Hairspray, Avenue Q, Chicago and Dreamgirls. Oh, the same may also go to Hanson, N’Sync, Rick Astley, Debbie Gibson, Madonna, REO Speedwagon, Chicago, James Ingram, and the Emmy Awards speeches of Bradley Whitford and Jennifer Aniston. Mama will be back soon, kids.
