scheduled bloating

It’s that time of the month, more or less. The time when I cannot resist food and my eyelids are pulled down whenever I lean on something. Perfectly a masan or mapi  moment. Masandal, tulog. Mapikit, tulog. I felt terrible in some instances, especially with the eating part. For the past two weeks I managed to survive on digestive bars, digestive cookies, milk, fruit juices, coffee, canned tuna (with calamansi) and lots and lots of water. I was happy with the initial results this weekend, then I started craving yesterday. Plus I think it was a subconscious effort to lift my immune system up because I’ve been prone to incessant colds and cough and they seem to not want to go away.

Anyway, I’m sure it will be this way until little red riding hood comes. It’s just so hard to have a regimen for keeps. Especially when this time comes when you cannot resist anything that comes with rice. Think really sour sinigang, deep-fried yellow fin tuna in garlic and butter sauce and tulingan (don’t know what that is in English) in coconut milk. Slurp.

Oh well, I will try to bring back the digestives and fruits starting tomorrow. Then my stress level could somehow be up because my boss is out (poor her, but hope she comes back real soon), the associate editor is back, and S is back, too. Let’s see. I’ll keep you guys posted.
